Typically with photographing weddings, you end up really getting to know a couple and get to share an incredible day with them, their friends and their family. Then life goes on and you only occasionally see each other and rarely get to “work” together again. This wasn’t the case with Megan and Sanj. After their first wedding, we were off to Toronto where we got to shoot together three more times and one of those times happened to be one of the most amazing weddings I’ve ever experienced.
Nineteen and a half hours of shooting, and I still didn’t want to stop. The second to last frame is of Sanj telling me to put the camera down and come have some fun. Sanj, my friend, you may not have realized but I WAS having fun and had been the entire day.
The only thing in this job better than making great photographs is making great friends and I know this won’t be the last I see of these two.
On the topic of friends, mega huge thanks go to Sheldon Parsons, for not only putting me up for a few nights in Toronto, but for coming along and shooting this wedding with me.
