I love working with rad couples who simply want to do something different. How many times in your life are you going to have a professional photographer walk around with you and pour their craft into some imagery that you’re going to look back on for ages? For most of us, not often. Why not take that rare opportunity and run with it. That’s what Steph and Mike did. I think they knew before hiring me that I have a bit of an adventurous spirit and that made them feel 100% comfortable in suggesting we get engagement photos done at Area 506 in Saint John, New Brunswick. The first thing that came to mind was “HELL, YES!!!” I had no idea how we were going to pull this off, but Steph knew the organizer, which helped in several different ways. We planned the shoot around sunset and then enjoyed the amazing show afterward. It didn’t hurt that Tokyo Police Club and City and Colour were playing as soon as the sun went down.
To all the awesome organizers at Area 506 to the amazing bands that showcased their love of music and finally to the best kind of couple on the planet, the adventurous ones who never stop having fun together, this one is for you! 🙂
